GTC February / March News Round-Up

Since our last update, it has been BAU for GTC and the wider Group, but we can share some recent accolades that we’ve been awarded and a very exciting partnership…

BUUK named one of the UK’s Best Workplaces 2024

Our parent company, BUUK, has retained its status as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces for the seventh year running within the UK’s Best Super Large Workplace category.

Paul Edwards MBA, Managing Director – Group Customer Experience, People, and Support Services at BUUK, said: “This is an outstanding achievement that reflects a real team effort. I thank all BUUK employees for helping to build this great culture that we should all be very proud of.”

GTC is Taylor Wimpey’s Utility Installer of the Year 2023

Our construction team was invited to attend Taylor Wimpey’s annual awards ceremony and dinner, which was held at Hotel La Tour in Milton Keynes. We were absolutely thrilled to be recognised as the Housebuilder’s Utility Installer of the Year 2023.

Our longstanding relationship with Taylor Wimpey plc continues to go from strength to strength, and this year is already off to another positive start with the launch of our Community Heat Hub at Westland Heath in Sudbury, Suffolk.

GTC and Persimmon Homes strengthen partnership

GTC and Persimmon Homes have agreed to terms that will see us continue to build, own, and operate water networks, and own and operate wastewater networks on behalf of the housebuilder’s regional offices.

We were the first utility infrastructure partner to offer housebuilders NAV water and wastewater networks in competition with incumbent operators.

Gus Watt – Persimmon Homes, Group Director of Energy Networks said: “The relationship between our businesses continues to evolve and prosper. Persimmon prioritises engaging with organisations that embrace our ambitions and drive change. Dynamic B2B relationships such as ours are integral to high-quality energy and utilities management, with the support and expertise provided to our regional teams and supply chain crucial.”
