Your GTC Designer will initiate the transaction by providing all the required information to the GTC Land Rights Team.
A dedicated GTC Land Rights Officer will be appointed to oversee the project from instruction to completion and will be responsible for providing updates to the developer throughout the transaction.
Once ready, GTC’s solicitors will issue the standard documentation to the appointed landowner’s solicitors.
This will include:
- A copy of the template legal document
- A legal plan showing the required rights over the site
- The standard preliminary enquiries form (covering site information including highways, planning permission, environmental reports) which must be populated and signed by the landowner
- Initial title documents for review
For ease, where there is involvement from Distribution Network Operators (DNOs), GTC already have agreed template documents with all DNOs to incorporate their land rights requirements, negating the need for the DNO to instruct solicitors to review documentation.
Please note that if amendments are made which affect the DNO’s rights, the DNO solicitors may be instructed to review these, and this may incur additional fees/delays.
