As an independent water company, we can serve sites in all areas run by an incumbent regional water company.
Our ability to undertake new water connections, mains installation and adopt wastewater infrastructure is through Ofwat’s New NAV process.
IWNL (our sister company) operates water networks and has all the same duties and responsibilities as the incumbent regional water company.
- Becoming the local water company for the development site
- Owning water and wastewater networks in these sites
- Having responsibility for supply of potable water and removal of wastewater (foul and surface) for the residents on the site
- Owning the customer meters and issue the bills to residents
- Purchasing bulk water supply and pay for wastewater discharge to the incumbent
- Selling water at ‘no more than’ the incumbent
