GTC is an independent utility infrastructure and networks solutions provider. We keep a clear focus on increasing our product range, offering new renewable and sustainable solutions so our customers can meet the ever challenging government obligated environmental targets.
GTC renewable and sustainable solutions include:
- Gas SMART meters. From 2014, all new homes will be SMART metered, enabling householders to better control and monitor their energy use. As a builder or developer, SMART meters earn valuable credits under the Code for Sustainable Homes (cfsh) scheme.
- Photovoltaic (PV). Photovoltaic - PV systems generate electricity from the sun, which can be used directly by the householder or diverted back to the grid. PV systems not only earn credits under the Code for Sustainable homes scheme (cfsh), they also meet builders planning obligations for CO2 reduction or renewable energy targets.
GTC utility networks also support other renewable technologies:
- Air source heat pumps.
- Ground source heat pumps.
- Combined heat and power (CHP) units.
