Site Delivery
On acceptance of your GTC quotation we will issue you with a site pack, containing all the details necessary to manage the efficient programming of work on your site.
Site Pack
Your site pack will contain the following information:
- Network Reference Number (which must be quoted when booking any work to be carried out)
- Contractor and Field Engineer contact details
- Technical Guidelines - these will explain what you can do to prepare your site. The Guidelines are also available to download from the links shown below:
Our Contracting Department
In many regions of the UK, GTC will use its own in house contracting department. Not only does this provide a central point of contact, but this capability also ensures that GTCs high quality of client service continues on site.
After agreeing with you a suitable date for on site work to be carried out the contracting department will forward you an email or fax, depending on your needs, to confirm the arrangement. From this point, and for the duration of your project, GTC will be committed to ensuring that your site manager is full supported by a GTC field engineer, backed up by an assigned GTC contracting team.
Standards of Service
Our clear timescales will help you to plan the scheduling of work on your development. Listed below are our standards of service:
- 5 working days notice to deliver meter boxes
- 5 working days notice to deliver service ducting
- 15 working days notice to lay mains
- 10 working days notice to lay services
- 10 working days notice to lay services and fit meter
- 40 working days notice for works in the Public Highway
- 5 working days notice to supply and fit meters
While it is important to GTC that our teams achieve the above standard, we would like to stress that it is the client's responsibility to ensure that the site is prepared to the appropriate standards, including the removal of scaffolding, as detailed in the guidelines contained in the site pack. Failure to do so can result in delays on site and potential additional costs. The timescales do no allow for circumstances exceptional to normal working conditions that may occur on a development.
In addition, to further reduce the risk of delays, please advise us by email or fax of the plot to postal addresses for your development as soon as they are registered with Royal Mail. This will enable GTC to offer a smooth and efficient service without delays to installation.
